My Favorite Cricut Carrying Bag

I found this woman from Ebay and she designed a Cricut carrying bag for me to use when going to crops.  I was able to pick out the fabric myself and everything.  And I only paid $30 for it!!!!!!!  Of course I'm sure at this point she's charging a bit more, because frankly----her work is worth it!  But I wanted to share her contact info in case anyone is looking for a custom made bag for toting your Cricut machine around.  Just give Ashley a call and she'll whip up the PERFECT bag!

Merry Christmas to All!!!!

Considering I have such a passion for scrapbooking and cardmaking, I find it funny (the sad kind of funny) that I am so horrible at sending Christmas cards each year.  I've made a promise to myself to send out at least 25 this year---and I'm finally on my way to accomplishing that.  My mom and I went to a crop this weekend and I was able to get 8 cards done so far.  I have only done two styles, but I figure it will be easier to get them done on time if I limit how many designs I do.

The first card is completey my style.  It has some intricate cuts made with the Cricut as well as Tattered Angels sparkly spray, stickles, and irock gems.

Recipe:

Outside frame is from the new Ornamental Iron cartridge.  I absolutely LOVE how detailed these cuts are.
The center square was printed on the Imagine using the Mr. Frosty cartridge.
The bottom layer of the snowflake was cut on the cricut using the Winter Lace cartridge.
And finally the top layer of the snowflake is a spellbinders die.

This second card went together in about a third of the time of the first design.  And I can hardly believe I'm typing this, but I didn't even use the Cricut!!!!  The bottom layer of green was embossed with a folder that is not Cuttlebug.  I don't believe it is marked as Sizzix either, so my guess is it's Quickutz.  Then the top is just a sheet of paper from a Christmas paper pack that I bought at Michael's.  I cut out a couple of trees from a scrap of the paper and popped them up with pop dots.

So now the goal will be to actually send them out in the mail by the 18th.  Wish me luck!!!

Fall Fun

Here is another project I did for the Cricut blog contest.  This week the challenge was to use these colors:
I decided I wanted to do a simple scrapbook page.  I don't have a picture in mind yet, but I'm going to see how it goes creating a page first.  Knowing me, I'll end up taking pictures one day specifically to fill this page.

Think Pink

Here is my entry for the Think Pink Challenge on the Cricut blog.  I wasn't planning to enter this contest, but decided to at 10pm this evening.  This also happens to be my first project using my new Imagine.  After having a baby not too terribly long ago, I learned how important it is to let them sleep as MUCH as possible!  And since I have a bit of a shopping addiction, the mail carrier and/or UPS/Fed Ex delivery persons would always knock on the door and wake the baby up.  I have created this sign to hang on the front door and will plan to give it to a friend that is expecting her first daughter.

The challenge required use of at least three of the following:  pink, ruffles, scallops, flourishes, glitter, and jewels.
I used scalloped ribbon and scalloped boxes around the word baby, everything is done in pink, there is glimmer mist and glitter stickles on the butterflies and the flourishes are blinged out with the irock.  So I guess the only thing I missed were the ruffles!

2010 Utah Swarm - Homewood Suites Door Decorating Contest

Everyone did SUCH a great job with decorating their doors!  Here are the entries that I took pics of:
Winner:
In the end, I chose this door b/c it really represented what the Circle is all about-----spreading the love!  They had little charms for everyone that visited to take and put on their Circle charm bracelet.  Great job ladies!  As their prize, they each got a Gypsy cover and Cuttlebug folder.
